In seventh grade, she placed third in a school-hosted Halo competition. In middle school, she met her best friend they were bullied for their appearances. Later in elementary school, Alex and her brother created comedic home films with her mother's video camera. In third grade, her mother enrolled her in English classes.
Because of her underprivileged upbringing and poor English communication skills, she was bullied and isolated in elementary school. She grew up in a trailer park beside a forest and creek. Her first language is Spanish, as her parents are of Spanish ancestry. Alexandra Jennifer Teran was born on May 1, 1994, in a small town in Mississippi.
